Entry for January 1, 2005 to May 5, 2005:
This web site journal could include entries from years ago. But special life changing events have
occurred since January 1st—the beginning of this New Year 2005. As I reflect,
Prayerful with the Eternal One’s Blessings we began this Web Log. . . . E-mail and other personal responses may be noted as weB-Logs or “BLOGS.” Although the term blog does not sound quite right—Blog sounds sort of geeky. But I have been fascinated with computers for many years. I even got a patent on a translating keyboard and made a pocket size pc/calculator when transistors and diode leads were first fashioned. So besides Spiritual things and ministry---I also was hooked on micro-electronics as well as Bird-watching, tropical Fish and all God’s Creation and critters. J Here in Salisbury, NC next to the Catawba College Natural Preserve, I switch from Tropical Fish to Bird watching, deer feeding and critter observations. The drama in nature trumps TV anytime, if we take the time to notice. Today, the hawks are dueling with the crows over territorial rights to the backyard next to our woods. For the time being both are about the same size, strength and speed. The crows and blackbirds have defended the backyard area, which includes the Blue Birds, Yellow Finches and humming bird’s nests and feeding stations. Our backyard is like an international feeding station, including European starlings, and hummingbirds from South America. Canadian geese also fly over daily, but thankfully do land and they do at the Veterans Hospital and City Park and Catawba College Lakes. We have counted over 70 varieties of birds thus far not including the symphony if other critters we hear each morning and evening.
Thus my Indian-Native American heritage emerges to flourish.
